This drawing of the reins going to the bit on Highboy is my illustration of a poem written by my husband’s late uncle, Jack Staub. After he passed away his wife, daughter, and brother-in-law compiled some of his poems into a lovely book. I really connected with his poem, “The Ride”, and did this drawing as a reaction to the piece.
