I found this image online, and after doing a little research I discovered it’s a painting by Alicia VanNoy, called “Horse – Up Close and Personal”. She did it in July 2011.

I thought it was a really fun image, and I wanted to try doing something from the animal kingdom in wild colors. This seemed to be a perfect reference image for me to try to replicate!
