Since relocating here to Southern Virginia I’ve been able to connect with a wonderful group called the Lake Country Artisans Guild. It is a wonderful and supportive group of people who produce all kinds of incredible art, from pottery and sculpture using gourds to fiber arts to acrylic, watercolor, and oil paint. Being a member in this group has helped me to find out much more about the art world in general, and exhibits and shows here locally. I’ve been in several galleries now, including juried art exhibits that were quite selective in their acceptance of work.

In 2022 I was accepted into the juried show at MacCallum More Museum and Gardens in Chase City, VA. Not everyone who entered was accepted, and I was honored to have two pieces chosen!
